Privacy & your data

Sesharo holds sensitive information, so data protection is built into the system rather than bolted on. This page explains the model in plain terms.

Every record in Sesharo is tied to your account and isolated at the database level, so one account can never read another’s data. This isolation is enforced by the database itself, not just the application.

Certain categories of data are treated as extra-sensitive and are encrypted at rest. Sesharo supports tiered protection so the most private categories can be locked down more tightly than ordinary ones.

You can enable two-factor authentication (TOTP) on your account for an extra layer of protection at sign-in. When enabled, logging in requires a code from your authenticator app in addition to your password, and you’re issued one-time backup codes to store safely.

  • Export & review — everything Sesharo knows is visible to you through the app and the API.
  • Delete — you can remove events and disconnect sources at any time.
  • Third-party access — if you authorize an external application (for example an AI assistant via Sesharo’s read-only integration), you can review and revoke that access from the app’s authorized-applications screen.
